Rain Lily of the Ebon Blade “Lily”
Lily was born on June 27, 2018 and was bred by us, Wolfdogs of the Ebon Blade, here in Texas, USA. She was from our very first litter, which had 9 puppies (Six males and three females). The litter theme was Texas Flowers, so each puppy was given the common name of a flower species native to Texas. Lily's parents are Anubis and GP Int'l Nat Ch Tarheel Queen Of Hearts (“Talia”).
Lily tragically passed away on May 16, 2023 to bloat. We are heartbroken and will miss her very, very much.
Lily was a very affectionate and gentle girl. She was quite playful outside, but calm inside the house and was crate and potty trained.
Lily was spayed at the age of 17 months. However, she still displayed some same-sex selectivity. Lily showed no indication of resource guarding towards humans or other dogs.
Lily was about 24 inches tall and weighed 63 lbs, so she was a fairly small dog. She was black in color, but would not phase to white with age, as that trait does not occur in her line. According to her Embark Vet DNA results, Lily's total wolf content is 34% Gray Wolf. A link to her Embark results can be found below.

Embark
Lily is a Carrier of Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). DM is a recessive disorder, which means a dog is typically not affected unless they have two copies of that gene. Breeding Carrier to Clear avoids producing any homozygous/affected puppies. This means that Lily is not at risk for this disorder. Lily is Clear for all other testable genetic disorders on Embark’s panel.
